Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tenly (“10 Goals Daily Writing – Tenly”, “the App”) handles information when you use it. The App is published by Taras Chernysh (“we”, “us”), an independent developer. Questions: support@tenlygoals.app.
In short: your journal lives on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number. Your entries leave your device only when you choose to use an AI feature, and they are not stored by us.
1. Information you create in the App
The App stores the content you write:
- Goals — your daily goals and your Magic Wand goal
- Gratitude entries and weekly reflections
- Wins — achievements and the categories you create
- AI reports and insights generated for you
- Progress data — streaks, milestones and settings
This content is stored locally on your device and, if iCloud is enabled for the App, synced to your private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. We cannot access your iCloud data. We do not run our own database of your journal content.
2. AI features (reports, insights and Ask AI)
AI features are optional. The first time you use one, the App asks for your consent and explains what will be sent. You can use the App without AI.
When you request a report, an insight or ask a question in Ask AI:
- The relevant text of your goals, gratitude entries and (for Ask AI) wins is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI proxy, which runs on Cloudflare Workers, and from there to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the response.
- Our proxy does not store your entry text or the AI’s answers. Its operational logs contain only technical metadata (for example, request type, status, size and duration) — never the content of your journal.
- Anthropic processes the request under its commercial terms and privacy policy (anthropic.com/legal/privacy). Under those terms, content sent through the API is not used to train Anthropic’s models.
- The resulting report is saved in the App (on your device and in your iCloud). Ask AI questions and answers are not saved after you close the screen.
To protect the service from abuse, the proxy verifies that requests come from a genuine copy of the App using Apple App Attest. For this it stores an anonymous device key (generated by Apple, not linked to your identity) and usage counters (how many AI requests that key made per day/month) to enforce limits.
3. Anonymous identifier
On first launch the App generates a random identifier (UUID) stored on your device. It is used for analytics, crash reporting and subscription management below, and is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account.

Analytics events describe how the App is used (for example, “entry saved” or “report opened”); they do not contain the text of your goals, gratitude or wins. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
5. Notifications
Reminders (morning reminder, evening review, streak warning) are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can change or turn them off in the App’s settings or in iOS Settings.
6. Data retention and deletion
- Your journal stays until you delete it. Deleting the App removes local data; to remove synced data, go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Tenly and delete its data.
- AI requests are not stored by our proxy. Anonymous device keys and usage counters are kept only as long as needed for abuse prevention and quota limits.
- Analytics and crash data are retained by the providers above according to their policies.
- You can ask us to delete data linked to your anonymous identifier by emailing support@tenlygoals.app.
7. Security
All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Credentials are kept in the iOS Keychain. Your data on the device benefits from iOS encryption, and iCloud data is protected by Apple’s encryption in transit and at rest. The API key for the AI service is never stored on your device.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (for AI features, you can simply stop using them). Because we don’t know who you are, most of your data is already under your direct control on your device and in your iCloud. For any request, email support@tenlygoals.app; we respond within 30 days.
Legal bases (GDPR): your consent (AI features), performance of our contract with you (providing the App and subscriptions), and our legitimate interest in keeping the App secure and improving it (anonymous analytics and crash reports). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States, the EU and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
